Standerton Magistrate’s Court grants one suspect bail in murder case

He will appear again in court with Sthembiso Mbhokane and Bafana Mbhokane on September 29.

One suspect in the murder case of Surprise Mnqobi Mkhwanazi was granted bail the past week, on certain conditions.

Sibusiso Radebe appeared again in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on August 25.

He is charged with possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition and bail was set at R10 000.

According to information, the bank cards of the deceased were found in his possession.

Radebe has to report to Sakhile Police Station twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

He will appear again in court with Sthembiso Mbhokane and Bafana Mbhokane on September 29.

The Mbhokanes’ bail application was cancelled and they remain in custody.

The Women’s League of the ANC from Thuthukani demanded earlier in August that no bail be granted.

The late Surprise Mnqobi Mkhwanazi went missing on July 18 and information suggested that he was kidnapped.

His body was thrown into the Vaal River.
