Theft out of motor vehicles awareness campaign in Bronkies

According to the police, the purpose of the campaign was to raise awareness about theft out motor vehicles, theft of motor vehicles, car hijacks and common robberies occurring in the precinct.

The office of Social Crime Prevention and Corporate Communication together with the Department of Community Safety embarked on a theft out of motor vehicle awareness campaign.

The areas in Bronkhorstspruit that were targeted on Wednesday, August 24, were Church Street, and the Prazers-, Spar-, Shoprite- and Pick n Pay shopping centres.

According to the police, the purpose of the campaign was to raise awareness about the theft of motor vehicles, theft of motor vehicles, car hijacks and common robberies occurring in the precinct.

“The group distributed 110 pamphlets to motorists and members of the community,” said Const Cathrine Ramovha, media spokesperson for the Bronkhorstspruit Police.

”The team thereafter continued with the prevention of crime in their policing precinct.

Members intensified their patrols by patrolling the Riamar Park and Erasmus extensions within Bronkhorstspruit,” Const Ramovha concluded.
