Cops nab two suspected dagga dealers in Bronkhorstspruit

“Children are baking space cookies that contain dagga. Some youngsters are even buying space cookies and bringing them to school,” said Const Cathrine Ramovha, corporate communication officer at Bronkhorstspruit Police.

Bronkhorstspruit Police members, detectives, and CIG, as well as private security received information of a Toyota Corolla heading from Mbombela towards Pretoria on the N4-highway on Monday September 12..

Members spotted the vehicle with the boot slightly open.

According to the police, they pulled over the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle were two occupants.

According to the police, the strong smell of dagga could immediately be detected.

The members found 11 large bags, containing different size packages of dagga.

The two suspects were questioned about the presence of dagga in the vehicle to which they told the police that they (the suspects) were from Mbombela and that the dagga was to go to Atteridgeville.

Both suspects were arrested and the vehicle was impounded.

The station commander for the Bronkhorstspruit Police, Col Maqhawe Dhladhla applauded Lieut-Col Strydom, W/O Steinberg and Kapanga Security for their swift and efficient actions in effecting the arrest.

“The office of social prevention and corporate communication warn parents to monitor their children.

“Children are baking space cookies that contain dagga. Some youngsters are even buying space cookies and bringing them to school,” said Const Cathrine Ramovha, corporate communication officer at Bronkhorstspruit Police.

“We issue therefore a stern warning to learners that bringing drugs to school will land them into serious trouble with the law.”
