Bethal Court postpones murder suspect’s bail hearing
The suspect’s family handed him over to the police, and he was arrested and charged with murder.

Bethal Magistrate’s Court postponed the bail hearing of a 45-year-old murder suspect on January 12 because he must be examined to establish if he is fit to stand trial.
The suspect first appeared in court on January 5 in connection with the murder of his girlfriend Joyce Mbokane in Mandela Section, eMzinoni, on Boxing Day.
He allegedly stabbed Mbokane five times while they fought in front of her 10-year-old child.
The man then went to her brother and allegedly confessed to stabbing her. He also told the brother that he would kill himself.
The suspect’s family handed him over to the police, and he was arrested and charged with murder.
His bail hearing was postponed to January 26.
