Cummins was traced to Somerset West sometime in 2017 or 2018, and a warrant for his arrest was issued and later re-issued.
A family approached the Standerton Advertiser in 2019 in a quest to locate Cummins because money had disappeared from their trust fund.
Emails to the police followed, and copies of the documentation were given to the newspaper.
The Standerton Police opened a case under case number 208/06/2009.
The family also reported the matter to the Estate Agency Affairs Board and engaged the services of a lawyer, to no avail.
