Cops nail man for drug in Evander
The drug bust was executed by the Secunda based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team together with the pllice's Crime Intelligence Division and K9 unit also based in Secunda.
A 23 year-old suspect was arrested during an intelligence driven disruptive operation in Evander conducted on Friday, February 24.
The drug bust was executed by the Secunda based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team together with the pllice’s Crime Intelligence Division and K9 unit also based in Secunda.
The arrest follows information received about a certain house where drugs were allegedly sold.
According to Captain Dibeo Sekgotodi, spokesperson for the Hawks in Mpumalanga, the police found the suspect at the house. He was in possession of different types of drugs which include nyaupe, cat, crystal meth, heroin and crack cocaine.
The drugs together with drug substance grinder, drug packaging material and money were confiscated for further investigation.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court on Monday, February 27.
