Mom says murdered Evander woman was pregnant
Boyfriend’s address must be verified before his bail hearing can continue.
The Evander Magistrate’s Court postponed the bail hearing of Jabulani Nkosi on February 1 to allow the investigating officer to verify his alternative residential address.
Nkosi stands accused of setting alight the house his late girlfriend, Boitsoko Ndlovu, rented in Evander last year.
It is also alleged that several days before Nkosi set the house on fire, he had stabbed Boitsoko and put her body in a fridge.
Nkosi was arrested last year and appeared in court, where he abandoned his bail application.
Boitsoko’s mother, Esther Letoaba, told Ridge Times that what happened to her daughter shocked her family in Mamelodi.
“Even now, I still feel pain when I have to come to Evander Court for the case. I am worried Jabulani will get bail,” she said.

“Boitsoko lost her life, and all of her belongings, including her car, were destroyed in the fire,” said Letoaba.
Letoaba said Boitsoko was pregnant when she died.
Boitsoko was laid to rest on December 3, 2023, at Mamelodi East in Gauteng.
Nkosi will reappear in court on February 8 to continue with his bail application.
