Peak fire season has already begun with two fires in Standerton
The cause of the fire is unknown and the estimated damage could not be confirmed at the time of going to press.
More than one fire broke out the past week in Standerton.
The shop of a wholesaler in Princess Street was targeted on July 22 at about 23:30.
A security guard went off duty, as directed by the owner of the shop, and returned when he saw smoke coming from the shop.
Standerton Police and firefighters were on the scene and a case of arson was subsequently opened.

Assistance was also needed on Tuesday, July 26 when a veld fire near the Standerton Country Club, Standerton Show Grounds and Cosmos Retirement Village broke out.
According to information, a person was apprehended who allegedly started the fire.
