23-year-old is in critical condition after accident on road between eMbalenhle and Secunda
The young man and the driver of the Golf were taken to hospital while the taxi driver allegedly ran away.
A 23-year-old man sustained critical injuries in a collision between a VW Golf and a taxi on the Graceland road between eMbalenhle and Secunda on Saturday night, October 8.
According to ER24 spokesman, Ross Campbell, their paramedics arrived at the accident scene at 22:09.
“The young man (who was travelling in the VW Golf), was treated with Advance Life Support interventions before being transported to Evander Provincial Hospital for further care along with the driver of the Golf who had suffered moderate injuries,” said Campbell.
He said the taxi driver allegedly ran away from the scene, while his passenger was uninjured.
The police and the fire and traffic departments were on the scene.
