KSS and Standerton police pull together to recover stolen vehicle
The vehicle was recovered after security officers from Kasselman Security Services (KSS) received information on the whereabouts of the vehicle that was stolen in Jeppe, Gauteng on January 27.
A partnership between the security industry and police led to the recovery of a silver Mercedes Benz sedan on January 31 at about 16:00.
Two men were arrested on charges of possession of the suspected stolen property.
The vehicle was recovered after security officers from Kasselman Security Services (KSS) received information on the whereabouts of a vehicle that was stolen in Jeppe, Gauteng, on January 27.
The guards followed up on the information while alerting the Standerton police.
They spotted the vehicle with two occupants and pulled it over at a filling station in town.

The car had Eastern Cape number plates.
A preliminary investigation has since revealed the two men were on parole. The police are working with the Department of Correctional Services to determine if the suspects have violated their parole conditions.
They were expected to appear in the Standerton District Court on February 1.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, applauded the relationship between the law enforcement agencies that often brings about desired results.
“We are making a serious impact, especially in the recovery of vehicles in the province. Together we can do more,” the general said.
