Murder suspect appears in court in Standerton
Police found the injured body of Thapelo Boesak Motloung (51), suggesting that the deceased was assaulted.

A 20-year-old man was to appear in the Standerton District Court on February 1 on charges of murder.
According to a media statement dated January 31 from the provincial commissioner of police, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, police were called to a scene on the outskirts of a farm in Standerton on January 9 at about 01:00.
Upon arrival, police found the injured body of Thapelo Boesak Motloung (51), suggesting that he was assaulted.
Medical personnel certified him dead.
After a murder case was opened, police began their investigation.
Valuable information was collected, leading to the suspect’s arrest in Standerton on January 30 at about 16:15.
Manamela welcomed the arrest.
