Suspect nabbed at hiding place after theft in Standerton CBD
The suspect was found in possession of the stolen items taken from the vehicle and other stolen goods were found at his hiding place.
CCTV footage from Maximed Pharmacies resulted in the apprehension of a suspect on February 27.
An informer, whose identity is protected, played a pivotal role in the arrest.
According to Kasselman Security Services, a man stole valuables from a stationary vehicle on Princess Street. The estimated value of the items is R15 000.
Armed response was dispatched and gathered relevant information on the suspect.
After viewing the footage, the informant told the officer where they could find the suspect.
KSS said an operation was conducted successfully. The suspect was found in possession of the stolen items. Other stolen items were found at his hiding place.
He was arrested and handed over to Standerton Police. Station. Case number 227/02/2023 was opened.
