Man rapes teen at her home in eMbalenhle

The police in eMbalenhle are looking for the rapist of a 16-year-old girl attacked in Ext 12 on March 7.

According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, the eMbalenhle police spokesperson, the learner arrived home from school and then went to a nearby tuck shop to buy electricity.

Mthethwa said as the girl was entering the electricity units into the meter at her home, she saw a man enter their yard.

The girl felt something in her back, and when she turned around, a man with a balaclava was behind her. He pushed her to the ground, undressed and raped her.

Mthethwa said the man fled after raping the victim. A case of rape was opened. No arrests were made because the investigation is ongoing.
