JVR catches three suspected thieves in Bronkhorstspruit
The recovered stolen goods include a stolen backpack and a wallet and cards.
JVR Protection Services in Bronkhorstspruit recently apprehended three suspected thieves in two unrelated cases.
During the first arrest, armed response officers reacted to a client’s complaint that the backpack of an employee went missing. Video footage of the suspects was made available.
The information was shared with JVR’s armed response officers on duty and they were asked to be on the lookout for the culprits.
The officers apprehended both suspects within an hour. The stolen items were pointed out and recovered, including the employee’s cellphone, wallet and cards.
The suspects were then handed over to the police.

In the second incident, JVR nabbed a suspected thief and recovered the stolen items as he was fleeing the scene in his vehicle.
A client sent a panic notification to JVR’s control room that afternoon and the armed first responder arrived on the crime scene in less than four minutes.
Members of the armed response team were given information about the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.
The suspect was soon spotted heading out of town. Backup was dispatched and the vehicle was cordoned off about 6km out of town.
JVR arrested the suspect and handed him over to the police along with the vehicle and the recovered stolen property.
