The Dra Mekaar committee members were announced at their monthly get-together at the NG Gemeente Goedehoop Church on June 7.

So much to choose from, yummy all the way. What a difficult choice to make when members get to buy other members baked goods at the Dra Mekaar meeting on June 7.

Members of Dra Mekaar recently got together at the NG Gemeente Goedehoop Church.

The morning monthly meeting was opened with a scripture reading from Psalms 13 and prayer by Ds Diederich Kleynhans.

The new chairperson and helping hands were also announced.

They are Eileen Bezuidenhout (chairperson), Ella Botha, Emma Pieterse, Lucinda du Plessis, Lizette Olivier Grobelaar, Sandra Jonker and Martie Craill.

Carol Fortuin, all the way from Namaqualand, with her sister Emmie van der Merwe, from Secunda, at the Dra Mekaar meeting on June 7.

May birthday wishes go out to Lorain Keyser and Alwyn Carstens.

Martie Crail, Tanya van den Berg, Maria Meyer, Hendrik Keyser, Emma Pieterse, Barbara Barnsley, Marie Pretorius and Koekie Keyser were congratulated on their birthday celebrations for June.

Birthday wishes also went out to Ben Moolman, Ken Jacoby, Tilla Terblanche, Hannetjie de Klerk, Emmarentia Viljoen and Elize Jansen Van Rensburg for July.

Rodolf van Vuuren with his gift received for Father’s Day at the Dra Mekaar meeting held on June 7, at the NG Gemeente Goedehoop Church.

Men were gifted a small gift of appreciation for Father’s Day.

Members enjoyed a scrumptious meal of curry and rice served with sides, that were prepared by members of the church.

This a reminder to members of their visit to Laerskool Secunda on June 22, where they will hear and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the school’s choir performing.

Members will visit the Hendrina Old Age Home on August 2.
