Steep increase in tariffs awaits residents om Bronkhorstspruit and Cullinan area
Those living in towns within borders of the City of Tshwane will feel the impact of the increase.
Residents of Bronkhorstspruit, Cullinan, Rayton and other communities that fall within the boundaries of the City of Tshwane should brace themselves for a steep increase in municipal rates and taxes.
Electricity rates will increase by 15%, and a new residential consumer will cough up R1 037.05 for a deposit.
Water tariffs will increase by 9% with a deposit of R593 for new consumers.
Sanitation rates are up by 9,2%, while refuse removal rates will increase by 6%.
Property tax is increasing by 5%.
