Driver crashes into advertisement signage in Secunda

The motorist was armed with a knife and was waving around a bag containing what appeared to be dagga.

The driver of a vehicle that crashed into signage at the Sasol Garage in Walter Sisulu Road  at around 06:00 this morning, July 4, was taken into police custody.

The motorist was travelling from the direction of Sasol and the eMbalenhle Road towards town. His two passengers were not injured.

Events leading to the accident are unclear at this stage; however, the motorist was armed with a knife and waving around a bag containing what appeared to be dagga.

Towing services GTR/MCR were the first to respond to the scene.

Towing services from Kriel, JP Auto Towing and Recovery, recovered the vehicle.
