Clinix in Cullinan creates employment opportunities for Refilwe Youth
This initiative was motivated by this year’s Youth Day theme: Accelerating youth economic emancipation for a sustainable future.
Clinix Cullinan Wellness Hospital hosted three youths from Refilwe to celebrate Youth Day on June 16.
To give back to the community where the hospital operates, the three youngsters participated in a project that ran for four days.
According to Clinix Cullinan, this formed part of their mission statement. During the project, the participants received breakfast, lunch and transport to and from the hospital.
This initiative was motivated by this year’s Youth Day theme: Accelerating youth economic emancipation for a sustainable future.
A motivational talk was given to the youth by hospital psychologist Itumeleng Faku and Silo Sabani, a staff member.

The hospital manager, Dr Mathilda Malaza, thanked the youth for their hard work and dedication during the project.
“I hope this experience motivates them to go out and start something for themselves,” said Malaza.
“I was proud to have them at the hospital for the month of celebrating the youth. I can see the future is in safe hands.”
Hospital management gifted the youth during a ceremony at the hospital. Andrew Ngwane, a youth from Ext 5, Refilwe, spoke on behalf of the trio.
He said they were thankful that the hospital had thought of the youth, and he wished they could do the same for other young people.
