Two siblings from Bethal excel in athletics
Brother and sister win 80m in their age groups.
Athletes from the Young Harvest Christian School excelled recently in the Mpumalanga Athletics Championship for South African Christian Schools Sports Association (SACSSA).
Rita Sology won the 80m for girls U11 and also ran the best time in her age group.
She also won the 100m and qualified in both these items to take part in the national athletics championship that will be held from September 29 to 30 in Pietermaritzburg.
Sology also qualified to take part in the nationals last year where she finished second in the 100m and took part in the relay race.

She ran with a knee injury last year.
Sology’s brother, Romeo, is also good at athletics and he won the 80m for boys U10 at the Mpumalanga Athletics Championship. He ran the best time in his age group and he finished second in the 100m.
He will also be taking part in the nationals this year.
The teachers said they were proud of the two siblings for their hard work and wished them all the best for the nationals.
