A farm just outside Bronkhorstspruit saw armed men attack, tie up and rob four victims.

Criminals attacked and robbed a man and his three friends on a farm near Bronkhorstspruit on August 28.

The man, whose name is known to Streek News, was assaulted, robbed and kidnapped before being dropped off on the N4 highway.

The 48-year-old and three other men were at the farmhouse that night. When he opened the door to go outside for a cigarette at about 22:00, two armed robbers, wearing balaclavas and gloves, approached and forced their way in.

Four others soon joined these robbers. They forced the victims to lie down and cable-tied their hands behind their backs.

The gunmen demanded money and other valuables, assaulting the victims while making the demands.

The gang stole four cellphones, a Toyota Hilux double cab, a Nissan Navara, a diesel tank, a water pump, two flat-screen TVs, a laptop and a sling bag containing a wallet with personal cards.

They also forced the victim to create an e-wallet containing R3 000.

When they left, they put the 48-year-old in one of the vehicles and told him to lie down while they drove off.

They dropped him off on the N4 highway, and he got a lift into Bronkhorstspruit. A case of house robbery and kidnapping was opened at Bronkhorstspruit Police.
