Volunteers refresh signage in Bronkhorstspruit
Volunteers sandblasted and repainted the Bronkhorstspruit signs.
The Bronkhorstspruit signs were sand-blasted and re-painted by volunteers on October 7, and AGS Koinonia sent volunteers to pick up litter at the intersection of the R104 and R568 in Riamarpark.
Skip bins provided by Bronco Tool and Trailer Hire were filled with trash from the cleanup.
Senior citizens, some of whom have lived in Bronkhorstspruit for many years, collected litter and glass bottles from the park between Lanham Street and the R25.
Resident Vasti Mills said with every project, working with the municipal departments was a crucial part of the planning.
“The team-up to clean by a group of volunteers claimed Bronkies as our town. We believe hope changes everything, one small project at a time.
“For the next 11-and-a-half months, a monthly clean-up midweek midmonth is planned. At least once a month, different kinds of face-lift projects will be planned,” said Mills.
