Dra Mekaar members meet for a social gathering in Secunda
The elderly enjoyed a boerewors rolls and interaction with old and new members.
Despite having their braai outing rained out, which was due to take place at the Holfontein Farm in Trichardt on September 27, members of the Dra Mekaar group made up for it at a social get-together at the NG Gemeente – Goedehoop in Secunda on October 11.
Members got to enjoy a boerewors rolls and interaction with old and new members. Some visitors came from afar.
The morning was opened with a Scripture reading and prayer by Ben Moolman. Birthday wishes went out to members Ella Botha, Bettie Du Preez and Girl van den Berg.
Members are reminded to give in any suggestions with regards to next year’s calendar outings.

Dra Mekaar chairperson Eileen Bezuidenhout thanked all members for their contribution towards the cancer bags that were handmade.
There was a target to make 80 bags and a whooping 130 bags were received. Christmas gift bags are being made up for children placed in a safe home in Senekal.
There is still a need for school stationery such as pens, pencils, colouring crayons, and snacks to fill the gift bags.
