Husband allegedly drives over his wife in Secunda, commits suicide
Secunda couple dies hours of each other after a domestic dispute.
A Secunda couple died within hours of each other after a domestic dispute last night, November 20.
According to the police, the husband (38) allegedly drove over the wife (36) with his car in the cul-de-sac in front of their home in Sunset Park.
He then loaded her into the car and took her to the Mediclinic Highveld in Trichardt where she died from her injuries.
The police were alerted and opened a murder docket.
While still investigating this case, they received information that the husband’s body was found at the bottom of a gold mine shaft along the road between Evander and Secunda.

He had allegedly scaled the structure and jumped to his death.
According to the neighbours, the couple was heard arguing at around 21:00. The neighbours contacted a security company to the scene.
By the time the security company arrived on the scene, the husband had already left with his injured wife.
The couple’s three sons witnessed everything. They are currently staying with family members of the couple.
The couple’s names are being withheld to protect their minor children.
