Help Secunda Police to identify dead man

An inquest, CAS128/08/2023 has been opened.

The Secunda police need help in identifying a homeless man whose body has been in the morgue since August.

A pedestrian made a gruesome discovery in the veld close to the Eskom substation, next to Albany Bakery, on August 14.

The decomposed body of a man was protruding from a shelter made from bits of plastic and other rubbish.
SSS Security responded to the scene and then alerted the police.

The police suspect the man must have been dead for at least a month or more.

He is estimated to have been between 40 and 50 years old.

The police described the deceased as a short man clad in faded blue overalls and tekkies.

An inquest, CAS128/08/2023 has been opened.
