Standerton court sentences Sibeko to 26 years imprisonment
He grabbed her hand, tied it and instructed her to go back with him to the tavern to buy alcohol.

Standerton Magistrate’s Court sentenced Themba Bongane Sibeko (28) on November 16 to 26 years imprisonment.
This follows charges of rape, assault with the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm and kidnapping.
According to Sakhile Police, a 27-year-old woman was on her way back home from a tavern with her friend and her friend’s boyfriend.
Sibeko grabbed her hand, tied it and instructed her to go back with him to the tavern to buy alcohol.
After buying the alcohol, he took her to a nearby field and raped and assaulted her.
She managed to escape to the nearest house and was able to identify Sibeko from the tavern’s footage.
The SAPS opened a case and arrested him.
Detective Constable Masiteng from the FCS Unit was the investigating officer.
