An armed robbery took place at the Red Moon Bistro in Bronkhorstspruit.
An armed robbery took place on December 3 at about 10:00 in the morning at the Red Moon Bistro in Bronkhorstspruit.
The business was robbed by seven unknown men, of which two had rifles while five were armed with pistols.
Five of the suspects arrived on the scene in a blue Toyota Corolla with registration LG63HHGP.
The car was reported stolen with cloned or stolen number plates.
An armed guard was overpowered, and his firearm was taken as well as a large amount of cash and six cellphones.
As the robbers fled the scene, a shootout occurred between the robbers and other security guards.
At least 15 shots were fired.
The robbers fled the scene via Church Street to R25 towards Groblersdal.
No physical injuries were reported and no arrests were made, but three other vehicles were hit during the shootout.
