Standerton mayor sends Easter greetings
“Easter is a time for spiritual renewal and introspection and an opportunity for us to deepen our faith, reconnect with our values, and strengthen our bonds.”
The mayor of the Lekwa Municipality, Delani Louis Thabethe, sent an Easter message to the community.
“As we approach the joyous occasion of Easter, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to each of you,” he said.
“Easter is a time of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing, marking the triumph of hope and love.”
Thabethe took the opportunity to emphasise road safety.
“Amid our celebrations, let us not forget the importance of road safety. As we embark on journeys to visit loved ones or partake in festivities, let us remember to prioritise safety on our roads. Together, let’s ensure we arrive alive by obeying traffic laws, avoiding distractions, and being mindful of our speed.”
He also mentioned the spiritual side of Easter.

The mayor urged the community to pray for a halt to social ills such as GBVF, child abuse and drugs that kill our children’s futures.
