GMM introduces new Ward 4 councillor

Patrick Duma was officially introduced as the new Ward 4 councillor at last week’s ordinary council meeting.

The by-elections, where the ANC retained its ward, were held on February 28.

The councillor post became vacant after the previous councillor, Simphiwe Sindelo (40), and ward committee member Fana Nogwanya (61) were gunned down by unknown men on December 3.

They were visiting a friend in Ext 25 when they were confronted and chased by the suspects, who opened fire on them.
