eMzinoni SAPS speak to learners
This was an awareness campaign against bullying and carrying dangerous weapons.
With schools now open, eMzinoni police crime prevention officer (CPO), spokesperson and social crime prevention officer, Sergeant Cynthia Mtshweni, conducted a safer back-to-school campaign at eMzinoni High School on January 21.
While monitoring the learners, Mtshweni aimed to teach them about discipline and how to comply with and respect one another.
Around 50 learners were addressed, especially the latecomers.
“This was an awareness campaign against bullying and carrying dangerous weapons,” said Mtshweni.
“The learners were also encouraged to report any crime incidents and to refrain from criminal activities.”
