Lekwa’s mayor hosts a meet and greet with stakeholders

Lekwa executive mayor Sifiso Mngemezulu and the whip of the council Rose Motloung, led a meet and greet with Transversal Unit stakeholders on January 20.

The Transversal Unit is a programme unit meant to coordinate vulnerable groups, such as the disabled, youth, and the elderly.

This meeting attempted to foster an inclusive and collaborative relationship with stakeholders of the Lekwa Local Municipality (LLM).

A media release by the LLM states the meeting was at the council chamber in the administrative building.

“The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen communication, provide clarity on various stakeholders’ roles and encourage a culture of transparency and teamwork,” explained Lubabalo Majenge, communications officer of LLM.

The meeting was an open platform for stakeholders to interact with the mayor directly. Stakeholders could raise concerns; propose solutions for challenges and share ideas.

This meeting ensured all voices were heard and aimed to build synergy.

“This ship is driven by you as stakeholders. Together, we can succeed,” said Mngemezulu.

He urged the stakeholders to engage in this process, as it shapes the direction of the municipality.
