A baboon was killed at a school in Botleng yesterday.

Video footage is circulating on social media in which a large baboon is seen on top of the school’s roof.

Another video, in which learners are beating the animal with sticks, is also circulating. The animal is then set alight.  This video is too graphic for Streeknuus to share.

According to Captain Carla Hartley from the Delmas police, the video has sparked an outcry from different communities.

The Department of Wildlife will apparently visit the school.
