Two commuters on bicycles were seriously injured and taken to Bethal Hospital after they were hit by a motorist on the N17 highway tonight (April 20).

The accident happened just outside Trichardt in the direction of Kinross.

According to emergency workers on the scene, the cyclists might have misjudged how far away the omcoming vehicle was when they tried to cross the road.
