Trichardt police are looking for the family of deceased

Police urge anyone with information that could help locate his family or relatives to contact Detective Constable Cedric Sophephelo Nkala on 082 465 2364 or 017 631 8183.

Trichardt Police are looking for any information that could lead to the whereabouts of the family or relatives of deceased Viphi Moses Booysen.

Booysen, who was a homeless man, was found dead in his tent in a veld in Trichardt in October 2024.

He died of natural causes. Booysen was born on May 1, 1967.

Police have tried to locate Booysen’s family through his ID book that was found on him, however to no avail.

Those who knew Booysen from the streets alleged he is from Balfour, according to what he told them.

Police have reached out to SAPS in Balfour, Mpumalanga, but could not find any details of his family. They suspect he may have come from Balfour in the Eastern Cape.

His body is currently being held at the state mortuary, and burial arrangements need to be made.
