Accident on N12 claims life of Delmas motorcycle rider

The motorist has been transported to the hospital in Delmas.

A 31-year-old man from Delmas, Jeandré Smith, was killed on impact when his motorcycle collided with a Toyota Corolla on the N12 between Delmas and Sundra today [July 5].

The accident happened at about 11:40. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

The motorist in the Toyota was transported per ambulance to the hospital in Delmas.

At the time of publishing this story, the mother and wife of the young biker had just arrived on the scene.

All emergency personnel are still on the scene.
