Cyclists race around Genade Plaas in Secunda for six hours

Werner Luddick completed 23 laps of about 6km each

SECUNDA – Werner Luddick was crowned the winner of the solo division of the Trap om Genade endurance race that was held on Genade Plaas on Saturday, 28 July.

This was the third year that the event was hosted.

Luddick completed 23 laps of about 6km each. Gert Lombard was second in the solo category with 19 laps completed and Francois Streicher third with 18 laps.

Johan Joubert and Stefan Kruger from Team LifeCycle are the winners of the two-man tag-team. They completed 25 laps in the six hours of the endurance race.

Matthew Kitching and Christo Groenewald, also from LifeCycle, were second with 24 laps, and third were Las van Deventer and Deon Smit from Pro-Am with 22 laps.

The four-men team OnsVier completed the most laps (23), followed by Secunda Clubbers with 21 laps and Cycle Paths with 20 laps.

The category for mixed teams consisting of four riders was won by Gras Goggas with 21 laps. Team Jack & Jill and Team Champ shared the second position with 19 laps each.
