Warm weather plays to athletes’ advantage

Last weekend also saw 33 runners finishing in their personal best times.

Altogether 130 athletes participated in the weekly parkrun at the Standerton River Park on 10 November.

With the weather becoming warmer, more and more runners take part.

Last weekend also saw 33 runners finishing in their personal best times with a total of 23 athletes joining the race for the first time.

As usual, 18 volunteers made the race possible and they are Antoinette Herbst, Chantel and Deon Lee, Dumisani Zwane, Jennifer Naidoo, Justin Strydom, Kathleen Ferreira, Laylaa Kisten, Liccile Slabbert, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Jean Robertson, Preyanka and Romalan Dorosamy, Renette de Sousa, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Shannon Critten, Sylvy Moodley and Wessel Herbst.
