Alex is the Standerton Advertiser Mug of Mugs champion

Alex Pieterse (jr) and Attie Mouton respectively won the Standerton Advertiser Mug of Mugs and Monthly Mug at the Standerton Country Club on 19 January.

A total of 36 players took part in the weekend’s competitions.

The Mug Of Mugs comprised of all the winners of the Monthly Mug of last year.

Alex Pieterse was victorious in the A-division with a gross of 67 and nett of 67 and Attie Mouton in the B-division with a nett of 72.

In the C-division, with a nett of 72, Francois Cronjé took the lead.

Patrizia Lombard was triumphant in the women’s division and Rentia Scholtz in the junior division, both with a nett of 78.

Attie Mouton, whose handicap improved considerably, was the best in the A-division of the Monthly Mug with a gross of 75 and nett of 67, followed by Rowan Brink with a nett of 71.
