Sasol Henleo Strikers wins the first U/13 Mpumalanga Junior Club Cricket match
The next junior fixtures will be on 27 April with Sasol Henleo U/13 Stars taking on Piet Retief at Sasol Club and on 28 April with Sasol Henleo U/15 taking on Witbank Snipers at the MCU Oval in Witbank
SECUNDA – The Mpumalanga Junior Club Cricket kicked off with the Sasol Henleo U/13 teams taking each other on, on Saturday, 13 April.
After heavy rainfall on Friday, the match on Saturday was reduced to 30 overs a side.
The Sasol Henleo Stars were sent in to bat first and scored 114/7 in their 30 overs.
Liyaaqat Ali with 28 runs and Tiaan Rabie with 24 runs were the Stars’ best batsmen.
Sasol Henleo Strikers’ best bowler was Siyanda Malinga with two wickets for 20 runs.
The Strikers chased down the score in 25.4 overs and won the match with four wickets.
The Strikers’ best batsman was Johwan Jonker with 27 runs.
The Sasol Henleo U/15 hosted Witbank Wolves on Sunday, 14 April.
Sasol bowled out Witbank for 89 runs.
Their best bowler was JD Kotze with six wickets for 19 runs.
Sasol Henleo chased down the score in just 16.5 overs winning the match with seven wickets.
Captain Harmand Aucamp was the top scorer with 28 runs, while Marco du Toit held his bat with 24 runs.
