Agent Moagi and Helena Joubert are the fastest local Comrades runners

HIGHVELD – Agent Moagi, a policeman from Secunda, proved himself the fastest endurance racer in the police in Mpumalanga.

Moagi finished this year’s Comrades Marathon in just over seven hours earning him silver medal on Sunday, 9 June.

He completed the 86km up run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg in a time of 7:07,52.

Helena Joubert from the Sasol Marathon Club excelled in the Comrades by finishing seventh in the category for women over 40.

This was her sixth Comrades Marathon.

The 43-year-old completed the race faster than any of her teammates from Sasol Marathon Club and was awarded an Isavel Roche-Kelly medal (silver-centred circled by gold ring) for her time of 7:22,31.
