Two honoured for reaching milestones at Standerton Parkrun

The Standerton River Park once again played host for the exercising athletes on 15 June and Lydia de Bruyn and Jyoti Daya were honoured.

At the 69th Standerton parkrun, two participants achieved milestones for their dedicated presence on the 5km route.

The Standerton River Park once again played host for the exercising athletes on 15 June and Lydia de Bruyn and Jyoti Daya were honoured.

De Bruyn successfully completed her 50th run and Jyoti Daya, who participates in the junior category, his 10th.

Volunteers make sure the route is cleaned beforehand before taking their places at strategic points to ensure the safety of the runners.

A tailwalker also brings up the rear.

The director for this free event was Mr Charl van Wyk.
