SECUNDA – The Warriors Kickboxing Club, a joint team from Secunda and Kriel, won numerous medals and two title belts at the Jock of the Bushveld tournament in Nelspruit on 13 July.
This was the first time Mpumalanga hosted title fights and the Warriors clinched two of the three belts.
Sensei Armandus van Rooyen won the Mpumalanga senior belt and Barry Gous is the title holder of the junior belt.
The team that competed in the tournament comprised of seven Secunda fighters and nine Kriel fighters.
They collectively won 25 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 13 bronze medals.
