Rugby teams compete in Rainbow 7’s fest

A total of 28 sevens rugby games were played and school teams from eMbalenhle, Bethal and Secunda also took part.

SECUNDA – Various rugby teams competed in Lake Umuzi’s Rainbow Sports Feast at the Sasol Recreation Club on Saturday, 5 October.

A total of 28 sevens rugby games were played and school teams from eMbalenhle, Bethal and Secunda also took part.

The Broncos and the Secunda Warriors ended in a draw with 33 points each for the plate final, while the Blue Quins lost to the ASRA team with 42-14 in the Cup final.

In the Plate semi-final 1 game, the Broncos beat the Beer Brothers with 28-26 and in the Plate semi final 2 game, the Secunda Warriors beat Bethal with 31-12.

In the other matches, the ASRA team played against the Manchester team and beat them with 63-0.

The Blue Quins beat the Secunda Warriors with 59-0, the Tigers lost against the Standerton Wolwe with 0-36 and the Beer Brothers lost against Bethal with 7-39.

The Blue Quins beat the Broncos with 32-12 and the ASRA team beat the Cunning Stants with 61-0. Both the Secunda Warriors and the ASRA team respectively beat the Standerton Wolwe and the Beer Brothers with 59-14.

The Blue Quins excelled and beat the Tigers as well with a score of 59-0 while Bethal just beat Manchester with 19-17 and the Secunda Warriors beat the Broncos with 31-21.

The Cunning Stants beat Manchester with 28-17, the Broncos beat the Tigers with 60-0, the ASRA team beat Bethal and the Blue Quins won their match again by beating the Standerton Wolwe with 26-0.

The Beer Brothers beat Manchester with 26-14, the Cunning Stants beat Bethal with 10-7, the Broncos beat the Standerton Wolwe with 28-7 and the Secunda Warriors beat the Tigers with 31-7.

The Beer Brothers proved themselves tops and also beat the Cunning Stants with 33-21.

Among the school teams, STNS won after they beat eMbalenhle in the final round with 22-14.

STNS also beat Bethal with 29-12.
