Lekwa City FC is top of the log
The team is currently on top of the log in the A-stream with 12 points and has won all four matches this season.
Lekwa City FC, the newly established soccer club in Standerton with SAB League status, intends bringing back competitive soccer and development to local young boys in the community.
Their motto is ‘syabakokoda’ which means ‘we will nail them’.
The head coach is former Free State Stars soccer player, Mr Phumlani Twala, who will be helped by the former head coach of Blue Cranes FC, Mr Sibusiso Mahlamba, with Mr Tshepo Ratsebe as fitness trainer.

Their score at their first match against Sasol Thistle Grove FC at the Sakhile Stadium in September was 2-0, against Remember FC in eMabalenhle 2-1, against Matapulas FC at the Sakhile Stadium 4-3 and against Lion FC in Morgenzon 2-0.
They travelled to Lothair on Saturday 19 October to play in the regional play-offs in the Nedbank Cup against Somhlolo United FC at 2pm and beat them 1-0.
