Young rugby player needs sponsors to go on USA 7s rugby tour

Help Setta to make his dream come true

EVANDER – Setta Molifi Mothibi (15) a Grade 9 learner of Evander High School, was chosen to play 7s rugby in the United States of America (USA), but he needs about R40 000 to make this dream a reality.

Setta began playing rugby in primary school and played in his school’s team every year since he was seven years old.

He plays lock position and used to play for the Highveld Panthers.

He completed his primary school career at Laerskool Hoëveld and played rugby for Evander High School’s U/15A rugby team this year.

The New Beginnings Sports Development Academy selected teams earlier this year at trials at Hoërskool Oosterland in Secunda to be part of the tour group to go to Los Angeles in the USA in June next year.

The players already need to begin paying the first installments of R5 000 monthly, to be able to go on the tour.

Setta was raised by a single mother after he lost his father in 2015 due to an illness.

He wants to become a chef and in his free time he enjoys playing soccer with his friends or he helps his mother to clean the house.

If you want to support Setta or sponsor him, contact New Beginnings Sports Development Academy at 082 657 4514 or send an e-mail to info@nbsd.co.za.
