Attie Mouton is player of the bowling tournament
Some players never touched a bowling ball before and their joy when it ended near the jack, was contagious.
Standerton Bowling Club’s Business League came to an end on Tuesday 5 November after four weeks of competition during which the team of the Lions Club proved victorious.
The team consisted of Neil Havenaar, Louise Coetzee, Marco Oelofsen and Donovan Henri, with one reserve always on standby.
“We were grateful to have 10 teams participating against one another,” Elrina Greaves said.
“Some players never touched a bowling ball before and their joy when it ended near the jack, was contagious.
“The games were played in good spirit and enjoyed by all.”
The runner-up was Louis Bibbey’s BASF team and third was Werner Mouton’s Nel, Prenzler & Van der Merwe Makelaars team.
The player of the tournament was Attie Mouton.
The club expressed the wish to see all next year and hopefully more participating businesses.
