Cyclists dress up as lords and ladies for charity event

SECUNDA – Cyclists of Sasol Cycling Club and other clubs dressed up as lords and ladies and came with hats and umbrellas to the Lords and Ladies 5km fun ride on Saturday, 23 November in aid of Janelle Huis.

The fun ride was held in the green strip where the parkrun also takes place and cyclists took the same route as the parkrunners.

Besides having had to dress up as lords and ladies, the cyclists were also required to take along non-perishable food or a pack of nappies for Janelle Huis.

The fun ride was held in the form of a safari picnic and cyclists had ice cream and cold drink when they stopped for a break near the Rondekerk.

A few children of Janelle Huis also enjoyed the day with the cyclists.

The committee of Sasol Cycling Club thanked all their sponsors who made the day possible.

Their main sponsors were Proconics, MegChem, Symphony’s, Lilatography and Secunda SuperSpar at the Eastside Centre in Secunda CBD.
