Walkers and runners alike pitch up for parkrun in Standerton

This event is free of charge, serves as a get-together for family and those wanting to give their four-legged companions some exercise, are usually not disappointed.

Participants of the parkrun were once again off the mark at the Standerton River Park on Saturday, 18 January.

A quick warm-up exercise before the event put most in the mood for the 5km course.

Volunteers were on hand to facilitate smooth running due to a somewhat adapted course, to compensate for areas where the recent rain hindered running.

This event is free charge, serves as a get-together for family and friends and those wanting to give their four-legged companions some exercise, are usually not disappointed.

After a while, many runners realise that their personal best times are something to be treasured.
