Nicus Boshoff is Sasol Secunda Cricket Club’s Player of the Year
The Sasol Secunda Cricket Club announces their winners of the 2019-2020 season
SECUNDA- Due to Covid-19, the Sasol Secunda Cricket Club was unable to host their annual awards ceremony this month.
They nonetheless announced their winners of the 2019-2020 season.
The Sasol Secunda Cricket Club Player of the Year is Nicus Boshoff, and Colin van Staden was voted the Players’ Player of the Year.
George Louw is the top T20 Player of the Year.
Nicolien Janse van Rensburg was awarded the Women’s Player of the Year.
Colin van Staden was also awarded the trophy for the best batsman in the Premier League and Nicus Boshoff was the best bowler in the Premier League.
The club’s top batsman in the Promotional League is Marco du Toit who played three games, scored a total of 101 bat runs and has a bat average of 50,20.
Mark Joseph, is the top bowler in the Promotional League with five maidens, 87 bowl runs, and nine wickets in 25,1 overs.
With two maidens, 109 bowl runs, and 13 wickets in 23 overs, Ignus Koekemoer was crowned the T20 top bowler.
The top T20 batsman is George Louw, who played six games and scored a total of 260 bat runs and has a bat average of 52,00.
The top batsman among the women is Terry-Lee Kleynhans, who scored a total of 118 bat runs in three games and has a bat average of 118.
Nicolien Janse van Rensburg is the best bowler of the women’s team. She had one maiden, 17 bowl runs, and six wickets in 11 overs. Kobus West is the Newcomer of the Year.
