Soccer star from Secunda signs up with European football club
In order to reach this goal, Ranga faced off against 200 competitors in a provincial competition held in Cape Town, that would see only 21 of them going through.
SECUNDA – Highveld Park High is proud to announce the signing of their former learner, Ranga Chivaviro, to the European football club FK Trepca 89, located just outside Serbia.
Chivaviro was born in Limpopo but schooled at Highveld Ridge Primary School and went on to high school at Highveld Park High School.
Since his youth, he loved soccer and dreamed of playing professional football.
In order to reach this goal, Chivaviro faced off against 200 competitors in a provincial competition held in Cape Town, that would see only 21 of them going through.
Not only did Chivaviro make the 21-man team, but he was the top goal scorer.
He trains daily and admits it is not easy. Most of his successes come from being focused, maintaining a good diet, and a strict regimen.
“Maintain good grades, and listen to and respect your parents and teachers,” said Chivaviro.
He said it is important to work hard, sacrifice, show dedication and finish school.
“If you pursue what you want to achieve, you will achieve it.
“I was once a learner of Highveld Park High School, and I can look back with fondness because I know I have made my teachers proud.
“I am still striving to become more. This can be your story too,” concluded Chivaviro.
The school said they are extremely proud of Chivaviro and will be keeping an eye out for him on the international football scene.
