Students from Victory Taekwondo Family Centre and Karate for Kids were congratulated after testing and advancing to their next colour belt rankings.
Colour belts were awarded to the students on Saturday, February 26.
A Kimchi Black Belt ceremony was also held on Friday, March 11, for students who worked very hard and showed dedication during the Covid-19 restrictions to obtain their black belts.
This ceremony saw a whooping 20 students receiving their first-degree black belts.
Students are now preparing and training hard for the provincial tournament that will take place at the Lilian Ngoyi Centre in Secunda, on Saturday, April 9.
Students will compete in the following divisions: forms, weapon, sparring, combat weapon, XMA and XMA weapon.
Costs for the first division is R250 each. Divisions thereafter are R50 extra.
There is also a spectator fee of R20 for adults and R10 for kids under five years.
Entries cut-off date for the provincial tournament is April 1.
